AARP Hawaii presents a evening of comedy with comedian Augie T. at Aunty Salley’s in Hilo at 6 p.m. Thursday.

The show celebrates Older Americans Month and AARP Hawaii’s involvement in the community.

Doors open at 5 p.m., and concessions will be available for sale along with information on upcoming AARP Hawaii events and resources.

Tickets are free, and attendees don’t have to be an AARP member nor of AARP age to attend, but they must preregister at aarp.org/local or the events tab on the AARP Hawaii Facebook page. Seats are limited.

“We are putting on this comedy concert to celebrate all of us who are growing older and getting better as we age,” said Keali‘i Lopez, AARP Hawaii state director. “As we age, it’s important to be social and have fun.

“So laugh, have a good time, and learn about other opportunities to connect with others through AARP Hawaii.”
