Arthur Thomas Moore, 79, of Hilo died April 14 at Yukio Okutsu Veterans Home. Born in Long Island City, N.Y, he retired postal police officer from the U.S. Postal Inspection Service in San Diego, a U.S. Marine Corps, Navy and Army veteran and member of Living Waters Church, Hilo. Raven “Joy” Joyce Phillips, 72, of Kalapana, died May 2 in Puna. A published author, she loved lauhala weaving, was dedicated to her loved ones and lived an adventurous and authentic life. James Curtis Treacy, 83, of Kealakekua died May 2. Born in Cortland, N.Y., he was a roofer for the Glendale city schools, U.S. Army veteran, member of the Kona Horseshoe Pitchers Association and loved playing tennis, swimming, poetry and art.
