HONALO – The 39th annual Kona Daifukuji Orchid Club show and sale is 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Sunday, June 9, at the Daifukuji Soto Mission Hall (79-7241 Mamalahoa Highway.).
View colorful displays of flowering orchid plants. Cameras are welcomed.
This year’s theme, “Hanging Around with Orchids,” highlights creative and natural ways to mount and display your orchids. Come and hang with us and the orchids.
Buy high-quality, locally grown orchid species and hybrids. Bring your questions or ailing orchids to the “orchid doctor” for guidance.
Demonstrations about how to care for orchids will be held every half hour, starting at 9:30 a.m.
Taiko drummers will perform at 10 a.m. Take a self-guided tour of the mission’s on-site Orchid Grotto to learn ways to harmonize and beautify a rock garden with orchids.
