Lynette Noelani Auna, 63, of Keaukaha died May 29. Born in Hilo, she was a probation officer, teacher, business owner, counselor and political aide, Hilo High School Class of 1979 alumna, graduate of Hawaii Community College and Pathway Connect and member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Keaukaha Ward. Visitation 8-10:30 a.m. Friday (June 14) at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Hilo Stake Center, 1373 Kilauea Ave.. Funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial tp at the Homelani Memorial Park. Melvin Hisao Hayashi, 80, of Hilo died April 5 at home. Born in Hilo, he was a retired supervisor for the County of Hawaii Traffic Division, fisherman, opihi picker and U.S. Army veteran. James Wayne Lukzen, 76, of Honokaa died June 1 at home. Born in Honokaa, he was a retired field supervisor for the former Hamakua Sugar Co. and a U.S. Army Vietnam War and Hawaii Army National Guard veteran, coach for various softball, baseball and basketball teams and member of the Hawaiian Civic Club and Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Visitation 8-9:30 a.m. Saturday (June 15) at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Honokaa. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Honokaa Catholic Cemetery. Casual attire. Calvin Jitsuo Nishioka, 78, of Hilo died May 4 at home. Born in Pepeekeo, he was a retired electrician for the former Close Electric, U.S. Army veteran, Eagle Scout and member of IBEW Local 1186 retirees and Honpa Hongwanji Hilo Betsuin.
