Daniel R. Andrade, Jr., 77, of Hilo died May 31 at home. Born in Hilo, he was a retired house painter and owner of Danny’s Home Painting, a 1965 graduate of St. Joseph High School, former police officer in Honolulu and the Big Island, and U.S. Navy Vietnam War veteran. Private services held. Survived by wife, Linda Andrade of Hilo; son, Jeffrey Andrade of Pahoa; brother, Terrance (Tanya) Andrade of Idaho; brother-in-law, Douglas Wood of San Antonio; sister-in-law, Claire Bordner of Hilo; cousins, nieces and nephews. Darrell Wayne Gillis, 64, of Mountain View died June 2 at home. Born in Honolulu, he was a self-employed mechanic. Private services held. Celebration of life at a later date. Teodoro Tomas Guerrero, 74, of Kapaau died May 11 at Queen’s North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born in Dingras, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, he was a housekeeper at Mauna Lani Resort and member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Takeko Ide, 95, of Honolulu, formerly of Hilo, died March 29 at Leahi Hospital Nursing Home. Born in Hilo, she was a retired seamstress for Hilo Hattie and the former Kamehameha Garments and member of Honomu Henjoji Mission and Waiakea Uka Kumiai. Private services held. Survived by son, Brian (Diane Tokunaga-Ide) Ide of Honolulu; brother, Dr. Richard (Hanae) Nishioka of Albany, Calif.; a granddaughter; nieces and nephews. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.
