Sheila Brown Clark, 89, of Mountain View died May 3 at home. Born in Hilo, she was a graduate of Hilo High School, a previous treasurer at Lihu‘e Union Church, docent for Pacific Tsunami Museum and distributor of NeoLife products. Gabriel Salboro Gomera, 79, of Hilo died April 19 at Hilo Benioff Medical Center. Born in Paauilo, he was a retired zookeeper for the Pana‘ewa Rainforest Zoo and Gardens and zookeeper at Hilo’s first zoo in Keaukaha. Visitation 3-4 p.m. Saturday, June 29, at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Memorial service at 4 p.m. Survived by sons, Vernon (Rusti) Gomera, Gabe Shawn Gomera and Scottie (Shanelle) Gomera of Hilo; brother, Domingo Gomera of Ookala; sisters, Judy (Joe) Costa of Honokaa, May (Gerald) Otomo of Hilo and Oria (Roger) Michaelis of California; sisters-in-law, Veronica Gomera of Ookala, Norma (Joe) Richardson, Linda Nichols and Adalina Evans of Hilo; six grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. The Rev. Alapaki Kim, 71, of Keaau, formerly of Nanakuli, Oahu, died May 8 at home. Born in Battle Creek, Mich., he was retired as pastor of St. Rita Parish in Nanakuli and an ali‘i in the Royal Order of Kamehameha I. Vigil 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 27, at Co-Cathedral of St. Theresa, 712 N. School St. in Honolulu. Visitation 8-10 a.m. Friday, June 28, at the Co-Cathedral of St. Theresa. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Survived by son, Likeke Owali (Kawailani Lehua) Littlejohn of Nanakuli, Oahu; sisters, Rosalle Kehaulani (Jaread) Johnson of Manoa, Oahu, and C. Mamo (Scott) Kim of Humboldt, Calif.; hanai brother and sister, Glenn and Kathy Baybayan of Hilo; two grandchildren; nephews; a niece, grandnieces, and a grandnephew. Arrangements by Dodo Mortuary.

Alan Ray Parker, 75, of Hilo died May 29 at home. Born in Hilo, he was a retired executive director of the county Office of Aging and received the Excellence in Action Award in 2010 from the U.S. Administration on Aging, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and the Veterans Administration. He also was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hawaii County Radio Control Club, board member of Hawaii Island Adult Care, instructor for the Waiakea High School rifle team and musician in the group Pure &Simple. Visitation 4-6 p.m. Thursday, June 27 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Wake service at 6 p.m. Visitation again 8-9:30 a.m. Friday, June 28, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Funeral mass at 9:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Homelani Memorial Park in Hilo. Casual attire. Brian Ramon Thomas, 81, of Waimea died June 2 at Queen’s North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born in Indianapolis, he was a realtor and board member, actor, and chorus member with Waimea Community Theater. Private services at a later date. Survived by wife, Angela Thomas of Waimea; children, Brian (Leticia) Thomas Jr. of Signal Hill, Calif., Darlene (Roger) Ledin of Vancouver, Wash., and Lindsey (Matthew) Kalkbernner of San Jose, Calif.; brother, Dr. Ronald Thomas of Santa Fe, N.M.; six grandchildren; three nieces and a nephew.
