Shelter to open in Hilo: 25-bed facility for homeless will be located next to The Salvation Army

Kelsey Walling/Tribune-Herald A nightly 25-bed shelter for people experiencing homelessness will be opening in August next to the Salvation Army Hilo Temple Corps on Ponahawai Street.

The Salvation Army will open a shelter in downtown Hilo this summer for those experiencing homelessness.
