The Department of Public Works Division and Jas Glover Ltd. have begun road and sidewalk repairs on Kilauea Avenue and Keawe Street from Ponahawai Street to Waianuenue Avenue.

The work will occur from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. today until Aug. 30 (weather permitting).

This project includes permanent pavement striping, installation of loop detectors, signage upgrades and sidewalk repairs.

The public is advised to anticipate one-lane closures and parking restrictions starting at Ponahawai Street and continuing to Waianuenue Avenue.

Sidewalks will remain open for pedestrian traffic throughout the project.

Alternate pedestrian routes are available via Kamehameha Avenue and Kinoole Street.
