More than 400 players in 21 Hawaii Island teams played games Thursday during the last day of the two-day Hawaii County Kupuna Softball Tournament at Walter Victor Baseball Complex in Hilo.

The games played during this tournament will count toward the seeding for the Hawaii State Senior Citizens Softball Tournament, which will be hosted by the county’s Elderly Activities Division at Kailua Park in Kona from Aug. 6 to Aug. 8.

Hawaii County hosts this statewide tournament every four years, and 62 teams will participate.
