Rita Florence Valentine Dolan, 88, of Star Lake, N.Y., formerly of Hilo, died June 30, at her daughter’s home in Hilo. Born in London, she was proprietor of Dolan’s Market in Star Lake, N.Y., worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse, N.Y., a live-in nanny, foster parent and former member of Star Lake Firemen’s Auxiliary, Clifton-Fine Figure Skating Association, American Legion Post 1539 Auxiliary, Clifton-Fine Senior Citizen’s Club and volunteer for Hawaii Care Choices.
