Setsuko Higuchi Isa, 93, of Hilo died May 13 at The Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu. Born in Hilo, she was retired from Honsador Lumber in Kapolei, Oahu, worked for City Mill in Honolulu and was a member of Hui Okinawa. Private services held. No flowers or koden (monetary gifts). Survived by sons, Russell Isa of Hilo and Darryl (Mary) Isa of Kohala; sisters, Chizuru Sugawara and Carole Yano of Hilo; sister-in-law, Amy Higuchi of Hilo; brothers-in-law, Yoshiharu Mikami of Hilo and Richard (Leilani) Isa of Honolulu; a grandson; nieces, nephews and cousins. Elizabeth Mary Mehlhouse, 83, of Holualoa died July 13 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Bridgeport, Conn., she was a retired secretary, member of Kailua-Kona Seniors and Friends of the West Hawaii County Band. Graveside services 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 7, at West Hawaii Veterans Cemetery in Kailua Kona. Survived by husband, Albert W. Mehlhouse of Holualoa; daughter, Dawn (David) Brewer of Holualoa; son, Donald (Anna Lepper) Mehlhouse of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; sister, Helen Cherney of New Milford, Conn.; seven grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild; nieces and nephews. Richard Joseph Victorino, 70, of Ocean View died June 22 at home. Born on Oahu, he was a residential painting specialist. Celebration of life 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday (July 27) at Sand Island Park in Honolulu. Casual attire. Bring loose plumerias to scatter in the ocean with the ashes during the paddle-out. Survived by daughter, Malia Keliinoi of Idaho; sisters, Cynthia Espinda and Laurie Victorino of Oahu, Pamela Victorino-Webb of Bakersfield, Calif., and Lynette Victorino of Oahu. Michael Robert Wanwig, 74, of Pahoa died July 19 at Hilo Benioff Medical Center. Born in King County, Wash., he was a retired UPS driver. Survived by wife, Nancy Wanwig of Pahoa; son, Kirk Tuesberg of Colorado; daughters Lauren (Ian) Hernandez and Hannah Wanwig of Seattle; three grandchildren. Arrangements by Dignity Memorial.
