Morgan brothers bring home silver at AVP Junior Nationals, eye Olympic dreams

HERMOSA BEACH, Calif. — Elijah and Ellison Morgan, rising beach volleyball stars from the West Side, recently clinched the silver medal in the AVP Junior National Championships in Hermosa Beach. The brothers’ impressive performance fuels their ambition to represent the United States in beach volleyball at the Olympics one day, inspired by the electrifying setting under the Eiffel Tower in Paris.

The Morgan brothers, known for their powerful play and unwavering determination, demonstrated their skills on the sandy courts of Hermosa Beach. Their success follows a string of victories in indoor volleyball, including BIIF 2024 championships and a state tournament appearance with Konawaena High School.

“We’ve been training hard, both indoors and on the beach, and we’re thrilled with the results at AVP Nationals,” Elijah Morgan said. “It’s an honor to represent our hometown and our state on the national stage.”

Ellison Morgan echoed his brother’s sentiments, adding, “The Olympics have always been a dream of ours. Watching the incredible athletes compete under the Eiffel Tower was inspiring, and we’re more motivated than ever to reach that level.”

The brothers’ rigorous training regimen includes daily practices, strength and conditioning workouts and competitive matches against top-level opponents. They credit their coach, Danny Alvarez, with providing invaluable guidance and support.

“Coach Alvarez has been instrumental in our development as athletes and taking our game to the next level,” Elijah Morgan said. “He pushes us to be our best and has instilled in us a strong work ethic and a love for the game.”

The Morgan brothers’ success at the AVP Junior Nationals is a testament to their dedication and talent. They are quickly becoming recognized as rising stars in the beach volleyball world, and their future looks bright as they chase their Olympic dreams.
