Born in Bacarra in the Philippines, he was a 2nd Lieutenant in the Philippine Air Force and a retired landscaper at the Hilton Waikoloa Hotel. Born in Pangasinan in the Philippines, she was a retired papaya packer and a member of the Keaau Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Keaau.
