The Hawaii County Department of Parks and Recreation on Wednesday, Sept. 4, will conduct the annual lottery drawing for assignment of horse stalls at the Pana‘ewa Equestrian Center in Hilo.
The Hawaii County Department of Parks and Recreation on Wednesday, Sept. 4, will conduct the annual lottery drawing for assignment of horse stalls at the Pana‘ewa Equestrian Center in Hilo.
The equestrian center includes a variety of equestrian-related facilities, such as a 5/8-mile race track, rodeo arena, wash racks, and 49 rental stalls with attached paddocks. The center is open for public use seven days a week.
The lottery drawing will be held at 3 p.m. at the equestrian center, Al Cabral Grandstand, 800 Stainback Highway in Hilo.
Those interested in entering the lottery must submit an application within the 10 business-day period between Aug. 19 to Aug. 30 to the Department of Parks and Recreation,101 Pauahi Street, Suite 6, Hilo HI.
Applications, which are available at Parks and Rec, must be completed and received no later than 4:30 p.m., Friday, Aug. 30, and will not be accepted on the date of the lottery or prior to the 10-day filing period.
