Born in Honolulu, he was a retired bell captain at Mauna Kea Beach Hotel, reserve police officer and worked for Slim Holt; Grayline, Waiaka Lodge, Kona Inn and King Kamehameha Hotel, security at Halii Kai and Kukio and member of Hawi Sacred Heart Catholic Church and numerous motorcycle clubs.
