Emmress Ann Harpole, 75, of Hilo died July 29 at home. Born in Molokai, dhe was a retired prep cook for the former Isle’s Café. Private services. Survived by husband, Freddie “Buster” Harpole; son, Shane (Kehau) Harpole; daughters, Sandy (Al Gomes) Dacayanan and Stacy (Jason) Tomlin; sister, Yolanda (James) Cormier; brother, Charman (Harrilyn) Aiwohi; sister-in-law, Faye Yamauchi; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. Pearl “Nani” Bernice Leinani Kalilikane, 81, of Hilo died July 25 at Hilo Benioff Medical Center. Born in rural Ka‘u, she was retired from St. Joseph School. Rosalina Peneyra Rosario, 84, of Pahala and Hilo died July 30 at her Hilo home. Born in San Juan (Lapog), Ilocos Sur, Philippines, she was a server/cashier at the former Punaluu Village Restaurant, Green Sands Fountain, Volcano Country Club and Volcano House, member of Pahala Holy Rosary Church and Pahala Senior Citizens. Visitation 8-10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, at Pahala Holy Rosary Church. Mass at 10 a.m. Burial to follow.
