Grace Fumie Iwamoto, 97, of Kailua-Kona died Aug. 27 at Kona Community Hospital in Kealakekua. Born in Hilo, she was a retired cashier at KTA Super Stores in Kailua-Kona and member of Kona Hongwanji and Kailua Shita Kumiai. Private services held. No flowers or koden (monetary gifts). Dale Eugene Geiger, 84, of Kailua-Kona, formerly of Athens, W.Va., died July 24. He was retired from Concord College, now Concord University, in Athens as director of Student Residential Life, and was an instructor, baseball coach, play-by-play radio and public address football announcer, a member of Athens’ Volunteer Fire Department, including its chief. He was involved in Child Protect of Mercer County and the Children’s Home Society of West Virginia, a member of Concord United Methodist Church of Athens, and attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Princeton, W.Va.
