Hawaii Island residents Terri Lynn Lum, Miguel Amadis and Michal “Miki” Popadic were honored recently at the Hawaii State Judiciary’s 2024 Statewide Employee Awards Ceremony in Honolulu.
Lum, the longtime program director of the East Hawaii Children’s Justice Center, received the Meritorious Service Award for her distinguished career in children’s advocacy and for the positive impact she’s made on the community.
Amadis, a court operations specialist, was recognized with the Spirit of the Judiciary Award for his noteworthy contributions, a consistently courteous approach in all he does and for exemplifying pride in public service.
Popadic, an information technology technician, was honored with a Certificate of Commendation for his proactive responsive to urgent situations, innovative approach to problem solving, and for his contributions to continued operational improvements at the Hilo and Waimea courthouses.
