Dolores Malinao Cainglit, 88, of Hilo died Oct. 4 at home. Born in Honaunau, she was a retired waitress, cashier and hostess at Ken’s House of Pancakes, formerly worked at the Hilo Hawaiian Hotel, the former Hilo Hotel, the former Standard Drugs and the former Sky Chef, a lector at St. Joseph Catholic Church and a member of its choir. Visitation 8:30-9:30 a.m. Thursday (Oct. 24) at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Memorial Mass at 9:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Alae Cemetery. Casual attire. Survived by children, Ralph “Augie” (Joyce) Taroma of Hilo, Lolita “Lita” (Steven) Kubojiri of Hilo, Gloria (Frank) Maynard of Oxford, N.Y., Priscilla (Joseph) Schweiger of Bremerton, Wash., and Brenda (Jerry) Bidal of Olympia, Wash.; sister, Rosita Padayao of Mililani, Oahu; 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
