Roylynn Peggy Bannister, 56, of Keaau, died Sept. 13 at Hilo Benioff Medical Center. She was an office assistant for the Department of Transportation. Service to be held Nov. 9 at 3:30 p.m. at Hawaiian Paradise Park Community Center. Survived by spouse Clinton Bannister Sr. of Keaau; sons Clinton Bannister Jr. of Keaau, Cruger-James “Hele” (Joni) Bannister of Cheysn-Keala Bannister of Keaau; stepson Bronson Amaral of Hilo; mother Charlene Tolentino of Keaau; sisters Rozel “Tudi” (Billy) Tolentino, Chelsey (Graciela) Rodrigues and Stacey Yanagihara of Keaau; brother Roy Tolentino Jr. of Keaau; 11 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Herbert “Sonny” Edward De Lima, 82, of Hilo, died Sept. 20 at Life Care Center of Hilo. Born in Hilo, he was a custodian for the state Department of Education, a welder for the Hilo Coast Processing Company and a U.S. Navy veteran. Visitation to be held Nov. 1 from 8-10 a.m. at Dodo Mortuary Chapel, with funeral at 10 a.m. and burial to follow at the Hawaii Veterans Cemetery #2 pavilion. Casual attire. Survived by sons Chad (Armista) De Lima of Bay Point, Calif. and Edward De Lima of Graham, Wash.; sisters Lorraine Amaral of Hilo, Agnes “Tootsie” De Lima of Honokaa and Patricia (Milton) Mendoza of Kaiwiki; aunty Faith Dulay of Hilo; grandson Nicholas De Lima; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. John “Juice” Clayton Moniz, 81, of Keaau, died Sept. 23 at Hilo Benioff Medical Center. Born in Olaa, he was the owner of Ohana Rain Gutters and a U.S. Army veteran. Visitation to be held Nov. 8 from 4-6 p.m., with funeral at 6 p.m. and cremation to follow. Casual attire. Tyrone R. Revilla, 81, of Honomu, died Sept. 28 at Hilo Benioff Medical Center. Born in hilo, he was a U.S. Army veteran and a retired diesel mechanic for the County of Hawaii. Visitation to be held Nov. 2 from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Dodo Mortuary Chapel, with funeral to begin at 10:30 a.m. and cremation to follow. Preceded in death by son Keith Revilla; parents Modesto Revilla, Sr. and Rachel Revilla; brothers Robert, Melvin and Ernie Revilla; and sister Charmine Ige. Survived by wife Wilma Revilla of Hawaii; daughter Dana Revilla of Honomu; brother Modesto Jr. (Tess) Revilla of Hilo; seven grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Reuben Rubio, Sr., 89, of Honaunau, died Oct. 13 at Hospice of Kona’s Nakamaru Hale. Born in Pahala, he was a crane operator for Corp. Construction and a supervisor for the Kona Coast Macadamia Nut and Candy Company. Celebration of life to be held at a later date. Preceded in death by wife Virginia and daughter Valerie Uchida. Survived by sons Reuben (Malia) Rubio Jr. of Kailua-Kona and Vincent (Lorelei) Rubio of Honaunau; daughter May (Wes) Kirihara of Honaunau; sister Rebecca Galios of Oahu; 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Burt Kay Weiss, 64, of Kohaluu, died Sept. 25 in Kona. Born in East Berlin, he was the owner of Weiss Properties, a professional rugby player and a former president of Hawaii Island Realtors.
