Guely Astrande 77, of Medford, Ore., died April 16. Born in Keaau, he was a construction worker, drummer for The Surfonics and We Three Plus Two and graduated from Hilo High School and Hilo Community College. No services. Survived by wife, Bernie Astrande née Peters of Oregon; daughters, Dawn Baltero, Lalena (Dionisio) Rosana of Oregon; son, Guy (Emily) Astrande of Hilo; sister, Perlita Byrne Herzog of Hilo; brother, Wally (Pauline) Astrande of Keaau; brother-in-law, Henry (Doreen) Peters of Hilo; sisters-in law, Donna Takeya of Hilo and Marjorie (Richard) Messenger of Oregon; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
