Water shut off today to some in Waimea
Water will be temporarily turned off to certain areas in Waimea between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. today to repair a water main.
The affected areas include: portions of Old Mamalahoa Highway heading east of Puu Pulelu Loop, U‘ikeoni Street and Waokele Street, and Lakeland Subdivision.
Affected customers should set aside drinking water ahead of time to meet their household’s water needs during the temporary service interruption.
The county Department of Water Supply will station a water tanker for the public’s use on Old Mamalahoa Highway at the intersection of U‘ikeoni Street.
