Christino “Tino” Paul Caravalho, 77, of Keaau died Oct. 6 at home. Born in Kohala, he was a retired landscaper for Paukea Bay Ranch and previously was a laborer for Kohala Plantation, nursery worker in the Cooling Plant in Waimea and logger/woodchipper for Capital Woodchipper Co. in Hamakua. Celebration of life 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14 at Keokea Beach Park in Kapaau. Survived by wife, Leona Maxine Moniz Caravalho of Keaau; children, Christino Caravalho Jr., Shaltan (Carla-Mae) Caravalho, Ryan Caravalho, Wade (Maribeth) Caravalho, Ian (Maylyn) Caravalho and Nevaeh Caravalho; siblings, Nora Fernandez of Waimea, Julio (Elaine) Fernandez and Oligaro Galo Fernandez of Kohala, Ernest Caravalho and Dora Perreira of Waimea; 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
