Alfred Martines Gouveia, Sr., 65, of Ocean View died Nov. 29 at home. Born in North Kona, he was a commercial fisherman. Graveside service 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, at Naalehu County Cemetery. Francis Lani Higgins, 86, of Paauilo Mauka, formerly of Oahu, died Oct. 18 at home. Born in Honolulu, he was a retired Honolulu Fire Department captain and U.S. Air Force veteran. Urn committal service 10:30 a.m. Tuesday (Dec. 10) at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (Punchbowl) in Honolulu. Visitation noon-12:30 p.m. at Valley of the Temples Main Chapel in Kaneohe, Oahu. Memorial service at 12:30 p.m. Big Island celebration of life at noon, Saturday, Dec. 14, at the Higgins residence, 44-4635 Waikaalulu Rd. in Paauilo Mauka. Aloha attire. Kelleen Ann Lum, 51, of Waimea, died Nov. 20 in Waimea. Born in Japan, she was a SCUBA Instructor Development Course staff instructor and founding member of the Waimea Wranglers Roller Derby team.
