West Hawaii park closes due to ‘hazardous’ surf

Due to hazardous surf conditions and resource damage, Pu‘uhonua o Honaunau National Historical Park in West Hawaii will remain closed until further notice, the park announced Tuesday in a press release.

“The health and safety of our staff and visitors is always our number one concern,” the press release stated.

“Please heed all closures.”
