This year marks the 20th year of the annual “Love The Arts” gala fundraiser in Volcano.
“Love The Arts: A Symphony of Wings,” takes place from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15, at Volcano Art Center’s Niaulani Campus in Volcano Village.
The live and silent auctions are not to be missed, with unique offerings including original artwork, hotel stays, tours, jewelry and more.
Everyone will have an opportunity to bid on artwork, hotel stays, restaurants, local products, services, gift certificates to businesses and attractions.
Live music performance with Kainani Kahaunaele, a five-time Na Hoku Hanohano Award Winner and was named as highly coveted Female Vocalist of the Year in 2004. As one of the most notable talents of her generation, Kahaunaele has remained one of the most passionate advocates for Hawaiian language revitalization and the perpetuation of Hawaiian music through education and performance.
Kahaunaele has also recorded with many artists from Hawaii including Keali‘i Reichel, Kaumaka‘iwa Kanaka‘ole, Kekuhi Kanahele, Manu Boyd and with her former band Kahikina. Known for her warm dynamic vocal abilities, Kahaunaele’s charming voice amplifies the imagery of the songs, enabling delightful encounters with the poetry she delivers.
