The Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, Hawaii region, will hold its conference, “Words and Wonder,” at the University of Hawaii at Hilo on March 22-23.
This conference will connect attendees with industry professionals in the field of children’s literature, and includes opportunities for manuscript critiques, deep-dive workshops and submission opportunities.
Creators of children’s literature, authors, illustrators, translators and others who are interested are invited to attend the conference.
This event includes a keynote by Caldecott Medalist Dan
Santat, informative breakout sessions, and intensives led by industry experts including Tiff Liao, executive editor at Random House Books for Young Readers, Sally Kim, associate agent at Andrea Brown Literary Agency, and Tammy Yee, award-winning author/illustrator.
