The Big Island Interscholastic Federation (BIIF) did something different this year following fall cheer season.
The organization opted to recognize standout cheer athletes from the 2024 season, as the BIIF has typically gone without an All-Cheer team in years past.
The BIIF told the paper that it selected athletes who “exemplified a high level of skill and competency for the sport, were in good academic standing throughout the duration of the sport season and possessed and demonstrated a positive, mature, nurturing attitude towards coaches, teammates, officials, opponents and fans.”
