Wayne A. Subica Sr., 81, of Hilo died at home on February 19, 2025. Born in Olaa, he was a retired as a district conservationist for the U.S. Department of Agriculture, founded and curated the Hawaii Plantation Museum in Papaikou and wrote books about plantation days and the history of Hawaii Island.
