Priscilla Iwalani “Iwa” “Braddah Iwa” Ah Puck, 73, of Waipio Valley died Sept. 25, 2024, in Las Vegas. Born in Waipio Valley, she was a 1969 Honokaa High School graduate, worked for the state Vector Control Branch and also worked as a pineapple picker and canner for the Maui Pineapple Co., an attendant at the former Coastline 76 in Honokaa, back-of-house at Parker Ranch Broiler, cook at the former Happy Skillet and assistant at the former CC Jons restaurant. Visitation 9-10:30 a.m. Saturday (March 29) at the Salvation Army Honokaa. Service at 10:30 a.m. Private burial in Waipio Valley. Survived by son, Joseph (Kanoa) Ah Puck of Las Vegas; brother, Clinton Ah Puck of Maui; sisters, Pansy Ah Puck-Lorenzo-Kawabata of Honokaa, Gail (Edmund) Ah Puck Pali of Hilo; sisters-in-law, Carol Ah Puck of Papaaloa, Leona Ah Puck of Maui and Christine Eiko Ah Puck of Maui, hanai children; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins.

Leslie Dean Doctor, 68, of Pahoa died Feb 4 at Hilo Benioff Medical Center. Born in Honolulu, he was a cafeteria worker at Mountain View Elementary School, member of Young Hawaiians of Puna and U.S. Army veteran. Visitation 9-10 a.m. Saturday (March 29) at Uncle Robert’s in Kaimu. Celebration of life at 10 a.m. Luncheon to follow. Burial service 11:30 a.m. Monday, March 31, at East Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2 Pavilion. Casual attire. Betty Jane “Nina” (Peralto) Kamehaiku, 89, of Hilo died March 6 at home. Born in Hilo, she was a homemaker. Visitation 4-6 p.m. Friday (March 28) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Thomas “Doc” Leopoldino, 76, of Hilo died Feb. 10 at Hilo Benioff Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was a carpenter at the University of Hawaii-Hilo, worked at the former Hamakua Sugar Co. and was a U.S. Army Vietnam War veteran and Bronze Star recipient. Mack Matsuo Yamaguchi, 66, of Waimea died May 13, 2024, at home.
