NORTHERN CALIFORNIA — Hawai’i Hilo women’s tennis notched back-to-back victories to cap the Northern California leg of a loaded spring break trip. Vulcans were victorious over Fresno Pacific, 5-2, and Jessup, 4-1.
The Vulcans opened the weekend with a 4-0 defeat to No. 43 Dominican.
Cami Oyama went 4-0 in her matches through the Vulcans’ two victories, going 2-0 in doubles on Court 3 with Lehua Jordan and grabbing consecutive singles wins on Court 6.
McKenna Mountain also went unbeaten in the two wins, going 1-0 in doubles with Akari Ichikawa on Court 2 and 2-0 on Court 1 in singles play.
Hawai’i Hilo moved to a 4-8 record as No. 43 Dominican moved to 10-3, Fresno Pacific to 3-14 and Jessup to 2-10.
