A workshop about “Regenerative Beekeeping in Hawaii” will explore honey bee biology and beekeeping practices that support bee genetics and the natural health of colonies.
This class is for people interested in keeping bees at their homes or who simply want to learn more about beekeeping in Hawaii and Hamakua.
The workshop will include a visual lecture, honey tasting and a Q&A session.
This free workshop is a 5:30 p.m. on Monday, April 21, at the Laupahoehoe Public and School Library, 35-2065 Old Mamalahoa Highway.
The presenter is Jenny Bach, a beekeeper of over 20 years and teacher for nearly two decades who has a passion for honeybees and agriculture in Hawaii.
Bach has studied shamanic and ancient beekeeping in Europe and has cultivated a unique beekeeping practice that involves reverence and biology in efforts to support bees and their natural genetics.
