Miyako Yamamoto Naylor, 101, of Keaau died April 6 at home. Born in Fukuoka and raised in Omura, Nagasaki-ken, Japan, she survived the horrors of war as a welder in a Japanese airplane factory that was bombed during World War II. She was a cafeteria worker at Midpark High School and housekeeper at Southwest General Hospital in Ohio prior to moving to Hawaii. She was a member of the Church of Perfect Liberty, loved taking care of her family, and was an avid sumo fan. Her ashes will be interred with her late husband, Gene A. Naylor, at the Cemetery of the Pacific on Oahu. Family to arrange a private celebration of life and ash scattering at a later date. Survived by children, Toshiyuki S. Mikuriya, J. Nobuyuki-Mikuriya Akagi and Mari E. Mikuriya; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
