Kona 3, KSH 0
First-seeded Konawaena boys volleyball continues to peak at the perfect time, routing the visiting No. 2 Kamehameha-Hawaii Warriors during Monday’s DI semifinal in straight sets — 25-21, 26-24 and 25-21. It was the winning Wildcats’ eighth straight win and eighth victory in consecutive frames. Kona moved to 12-1 overall, and will face No. 1 Konawaena for the DI title at 7 p.m. this evening. This will be the first meeting between the schools this season.
The Warriors’ season ends at 12-4 overall. They had previously won four straight.
Hilo 3, Kealakehe 0
First-seeded Hilo boys volleyball remained perfect after a straight-sets sweep over No. 2 Kealakehe on Monday at home — elevating to 13-0 in 2025-25. The Vikings will play in tonight’s championship against Kona. Hilo won by set scores of 25-20, 25-13 and 25-22. Hilo has won 10 matches in consecutive sets this season, bringing an identity of strong play on both sides of the net that few teams can counter.
The ‘Riders’ season ends at 11-3, finishing with its best season of the 2020s decade by record.
HPA 3, Pahoa 0
First-seeded Hawaii Preparatory Academy boys volleyball took on No. 2 Pahoa for the first time this season, beating the Daggers in straight sets in Monday’s DII semifinals to advance to tonight’s championship against local rival No. 2 Parker at 5 p.m. at Kealakehe.
Ka Makani (10-4) won by sets scores of 25-16, 25-15 and 25-18. It was the red and white’s seventh straight win after starting the season 3-4. HPA also has won three straight matches in consecutive sets, continuing to peak at the right time in the postseason. Tonight’s battle against the Bulls will be an exciting one, as the two teams are 1-1 against each other on the year. Pahoa ended the year at 7-9 overall.
Parker 3, Ka‘u 1
Second-seeded Parker boys volleyball beat first seed Ka‘u in Monday’s semifinal in Pahala, advancing to play HPA tonight in Kona town. It was the first matchup between the two schools this season. The winning Bulls improved to 9-5 on the season, while the Trojans ended 2025 at 9-6. Parker won the first set 25-20, but Ka‘u quickly countered with a 25-20 second-frame win. The Bulls quickly adjusted out of the break, winning the last two sets 25-14 and 25-21 to seal the deal.
