Manuel Gonzalo Eswagen, 66, of Captain Cook died Oct. 12 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Naguimba Banayoy, Ilocos Sur, the Philippines, he was a steward supervisor at Four Seasons Resort, coffee and macadamia nut farmer and member of the Filipino Christian Fellowship. Visitation 5 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 21) at Lanakila Congregational Church in Kainaliu. Memorial service at 6 p.m. Casual attire. Survived by wife, Lydia Eswagen of Captain Cook; son, Manny Eswagen of Seattle; daughters, Lovelyn Eswagen of Las Vegas and Desiree Eswagen of Oahu; sisters, Fely Eswagen of Honolulu and Sonnyflor (Robert) Vivencio of Los Angeles; brothers, Jimmy (Josie) Eswagen of Los Angeles and Wilfredo (Elma) Eswagen of Las Vegas; one grandson; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
