The annual Valentine’s Comedy Jam is tonight at the University of Hawaii at Hilo Campus Center Dining Room. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and the belly laughs start at 8.
Featured in this all-star line-up is Hawaii comedy legend Mel Cabang, returning from Las Vegas. Mel says he’s “very happy and excited” to be back in the islands.
Also on tap are Da Braddahs, Tony Silva and James Roach, who have their own TV show on OC-16. Tony said, “It’s been almost two years since we were both in Hilo to do our full comedy show. We really miss Hilo and its people and can’t wait to be back, this will be a special performance!”
Also featured is comedian Bu La‘ia who has a new TV show on K-5 on Monday nights and returns to Hilo after a long hiatus. He simply remarked, “Get ready Hilo, I’m baaaack!”
In addition, this year’s event will feature Big Island comic Sherri Carden, aka “The Puna Princess,” and muscial guest Lito Arkangel.
Tickets are $15 advance, $20 door. Advance tickets are available at CD Wizard and Blane’s Drive Inn-Hilo locations.
