William George Doppmann, 78, of Waimea, died Jan. 28 at Hale Ho‘ola Hamakua in Honokaa. Born in Springfield, Mass., he was a concert pianist, composer and writer. Services at a later date on the mainland. Survived by wife, Willa Doppmann of Waimea; sons, Greg Doppmann of Waimea, Jeff Doppmann of Seattle and Paul Doppmann of Minneapolis; daughters, Karla Watson of Minneapolis and Cathy (John) Dolan of Arcadia, Calif.; six grandchildren.
