Families can learn the basics of yoga at a free class from 4 to 5:15 p.m. on Saturday, July 27, at Hawaiian Queen Coffee Gardens. The intro session celebrates the fourth Sunday in July as Parents Day — established in 1994 by President Bill Clinton to “recognize, uplift and support the role of parents.”
Rotating between parents and their children, breath work and fluid movements will be shared by three instructors: Celeste Cline of Kona Beachfront Yoga, and Natasha Dorfhuber and Pam Landers of Kona’s Yoga Hale.
Participants are encouraged to bring a mat or towel; some yoga mats are available. Parents Day Yoga is sponsored by Pacific Rim Education Foundation.
