Fresno Pacific led from start to finish Saturday, downing UHH 105-92 to begin a four-day roadtrip.
Minus three key inside players, the Vulcans (4-9, 3-3 PacWest) were led by guard Trey Ingram, who scored 25 points, hitting 8-of-13 shots from the field and all eight of his free throw attempts.
But they shot just 41 percent from the field and were outrebounded 49-29.
Elijah Hill led five Fresno Pacific players in double figures with 23 points and seven assists. Aamondae Coleman had 21 points and 13 rebounds.
The Sunbirds (5-12, 3-7) shot 53 percent from the field.
Also for UHH, Randan Berinobis added 17 points, eight rebounds, and Ryley Callaghan finished with 17 and six assists, after hitting only one of his first 11 shots.
In the women’s game, Fresno Pacific (8-10, 6-4) hit 5-of-7 three-pointers in the opening ten minutes and cruised to a 70-51 win.
Allie Navarette led the Vulcans (4-5, 2-4) with 15 points and six rebounds, while Alyssa Movchan reached double figures with 12 points.
Cassie Pisik finished with 18 points and nine rebounds for the Sunbirds, who led 24-10 after one.
