Nora Yasuko James, 87, of Hilo died Dec. 26 at home. Born in Lahaina, Maui, she was a retired secretary to the late Honolulu Mayor Frank Fasi, previously secretary to the late industrialist Henry J. Kaiser, stenographer for Hawaii County Council, golfer, horse enthusiast, taiko drummer and member of New Hope Hilo, Hilo Orchid Club and Lower Kawailani Kumiai. Visitation 4-5 p.m. Sunday (Feb. 11) at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Memorial service at 5 p.m. Casual attire; no flowers.
