HONOLULU — Hawaii is moving away from traditional captains seen by most college football teams.
The Honolulu Star-Advertiser reported Thursday (http://bit.ly/133OcBv) that the Rainbow Warriors voted on a 17-member captains’ council. The team had four captains last season.
The council will give input on game preparation and uniforms, and will mentor teammates.
Coach Norm Chow says coaches will separately choose four captains for each game, not limited to members of the council.
Cho says quarterback Taylor Graham and linebacker Kamalani Alo received the most votes.
