The public is invited to a day of live entertainment and family fun during the 13th annual Laupahoehoe Music Festival from 10 a.m. till pau Saturday at Laupahoehoe Point Beach Park.
Come enjoy a variety of musical entertainment including the Laupahoehoe Community Public Charter School Seasiders jamming on ukulele and the legendary Ho Ai Kane.
Komakakino will keep the event true to its founder’s dreams, sharing Hawaiian music and hula, while other performers come from all genres, including country-folk with Dagan, classic rock from Monster Zero and Ira Varize’s slack-key style.
There also will be a silent auction (preview items available at www.thehui.net), an assortment of vendors and an array of food. There is fun for the whole family with lei making, poi pounding, a bounce castle and games.
All proceeds from ticket sales support the music programs at Laupahoehoe Community Public Charter School. Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the gate, free for ages 10 and younger. For tickets or more information, call 962-2200 or visit www.laupahoehoemusicfestival.org.
