The workshop is part of Ku‘ikahi Mediation Center’s “Tools to Transform Conflict” training series. The four-hour training explores how everyone wants to be recognized, appreciated, thanked and rewarded for their professional contributions.
“Discover the diverse range of recognition platforms, approaches to take with your workforce and insights about what is gained when regular, positive acknowledgment is active within an organization or team,” Shafer said.
For the past 20 years, Shafer has researched and worked on improving employee recognition in a wide variety of organizations throughout the world. A renowned speaker on the topic, Shafer teaches management teams how to strengthen capability and optimize performance.
Tuition for the workshop is $50 (group discounts and individual need-based partial scholarships available). The Hawaii Innovation Center is located at 117 Keawe St. in Hilo.
