Facebook finds ‘sophisticated’ efforts to disrupt elections

NEW YORK — Facebook set off a firestorm Tuesday, announcing that it had uncovered “sophisticated” efforts, possibly linked to Russia, to manipulate U.S. politics and by extension the upcoming midterm elections.
