Tai Young Chung, 83, of Hilo died Aug. 5 at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was a county Department of Water Supply engineer, businessman and U.S. Army Korean War veteran. Services held. Survived by wife, Myrtle Chung; daughter, Siara (Roger) Acdal; sister, Ruth (Haruo) Shigezawa; sisters-in-law, Yoshino Chung and Takiko Chung; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces.
