Students ages 10-15 are offered a unique opportunity from the Society for Kona’s Education & Art (SKEA) during the week of Oct. 7-11, at a “Creative Magic Intensive” Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The five-day hands-on workshop will incorporate magic and stage techniques, scene painting, tricks, props, secrets, video production and more, with “Arneleo the Great” Rabin, Barry “The Great Barusky’” Gitelson, Michael Navatta (video production techniques), and Bruce and Jennifer Meyers (the “ropes” of magic).
Space is limited to 20 students and tuition is $45, plus the SKEA family membership dues of $35 for those who don’t already belong. There’s an early bird discount of $10 off if you register by Oct. 1, and scholarships are available. SKEA is located in Honaunau on Mamalahoa Highway between milemarkers 105-106.
