Bryan Yoshito Hiraoka, age 56, of Hilo died Tuesday at his home. Born in Hilo, he was employed by KTA Super Stores as a cashier and Puainako Travel Service as a travel consultant. Survived by brother, Bruce (Lisa) Hiraoka of Waimea, Kauai; sisters, Gayle (Wendell) Sato of Hilo and Debra (Paul) Noborikawa of Kaneohe; and numerous uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and cousins. Marlys Kauinapualani Doyle, 58, of Waimea died Aug. 20 at North Hawaii Community Hospital. Born in China Lake, Calif., she graduated from University of California, San Diego and worked as the Maui Food Bank director and as acting executive director of Anna Ranch in Waimea. She was a member of many clubs and organizations including Palo Alto Jaycees, Mauna Kea Jaycees, International Training in Communications, and Waimea Lima Kokua. Memorial service at 10 a.m. Sunday at Anna Ranch, 65-1480 Kawaihae Road, Waimea. Casual attire. No flowers. Stowe Neal “Tony” Badenoch, 73, of Hilo died Aug. 14 at his home. Born in Appleton, Wis., he was a divisional manager in operations and merchandising at Sears, Dayton’s, and Eddie Bauer stores. He was a professor at University of Wisconsin-Stout, adjunct professor at Tuskegee University, assistant professor at University of Minnesota, high school teacher at Minneapolis Street Academy, United States Marine Corps veteran, and RSVP volunteer. Private services held. Survived by wife, Laurayne Badenoch of Hilo; son, Brett Badenoch of Indonesia; stepson, Robert (Rose) Samuelson of Hudson, Wis.; sister, Janet (John) McKelvey of Scottsdale, Ariz.; brother, Michael (Francie) Badenoch of Sanibel Island, Fla.; and grandson, Scott Y.
