On Friday, Oct. 11, at the Kahilu Theater in Waimea, on Saturday, Oct. 12, at the Kilauea Theater in Volcano, and on Friday, Oct. 18, at the Honokaa People’s Theater in Honokaa, there will be concerts by internationally acclaimed jazz guitarist Andrea Razzauti, accompanied by violin maestro Adonijah Imgrund, Maui keyboardist Salvador Godinez and percussionist Jesse Seymour.
Composer, guitarist, fine artist Razzauti was born and raised in Tuscany, Italy. His musical versatility ranges from classical to contemporary jazz and beyond his compositions are rich of emotions, melodic lyricism and poetic feel. Among many other projects his new album is entitled “Front Street,” released in June 2013 produced by two-time Grammy award winner Paul Brown and featuring Grammy award winning jazz vocalist Patti Austin.
All proceeds for these concerts will be donated to The Puna Community Medical Center in Pahoa. Tickets will be on sale for $20 from PCMC’s dedicated volunteers, and at the event. For more information, call Steve Sparks at 965-7061
The Puna Community Medical Center is a nonprofit that was established to provide Quality Healthcare for all the people of Puna. The clinic is a grassroots organization which requires no appointment, is open seven days a week including holidays, and takes all comers.
“Because many patients, including small children, have no insurance or money, it costs us to treat them. But we treat them anyway. So from time to time we have to have a fundraiser to cover these losses,” said a spokesman.
