Charlotte Louise Alameda, 73, of Hilo, died Oct. 18 at home. Born in Hilo, she was to co-owner of Alameda Plumbing, the matchmaker of the Waiakea Boxing Club, a rental property manager, and was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ikenobo Ikebana Society of Hawaii, and a former member of the Hilo Chapter of the Hawaii Ballroom Dance Association. Friends may call at the Dodo Mortuary chapel from 6-9 p.m. on Sunday. Wake service at 7 p.m.. Friends may also call at St. Joseph Catholic Church from 9-10 a.m. on Monday. Mass at 10 a.m., followed by burial at the Homelani Memorial Park. Kazuko Kuriyama Borish, 81, of Paauilo died Oct. 10 at her residence. Born in Tokyo, Japan, she was a retired secretary, member of Paauilo Kongoji Mission and Thursday Senior Handicap Bowling League.
