Michael James Ream, 67, of Kalapana died Oct. 28 at home. Born in Lima, Ohio, he was a retired chiropractor and member of Hilo Sailing Club. Sunao Taketa, 93, of Kona died Sept. 26 at The Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu. He was a retired carpenter for the King Kamehameha Hotel, manager/projectionist at Aloha Theatre, U.S. mail carrier, maintenance engineer at Kona Inn, bowler, member of Kona Warriors Softball Ohana and owned a coffee farm.
